WayForward is updating their game, Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse to include new functionality for the upcoming release of the New Nintendo 3DS. Among this new functionality is a “quick select” control scheme that will make use of the New 3DS’s c-stick. Here is what Matt Bozon, Director of the Shantae series, said in an interview with Siliconera .
“We’re really excited about the New 3DS! We have an update for Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse already underway, which will add a ‘quick select’ control scheme, as well as other minor improvements to the game. Look for that to arrive closer to the launch of the New 3DS in the US.”
Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse is scheduled for release in October this year. The New Nintendo 3DS is scheduled to come out in October in Japan, November in Australia, and later in 2015 for North America.
