As if the Warhammer 40,000 universe coming to the classic game of chess wasn’t enough of a surprise, now there’s a side-scroller available in over 100 countries for iOS devices.
Entitled Warhammer 40,000: Carnage , the game’s release was announced in a press release on Thursday, May 28 by Roadhouse Interactive, a leading developer and publisher of tablet, smartphone and browser-based games.
Taking place on the planet Mithra, Carnage is touted to be just that: an all-action, side-scrolling carnage-fest with more than 50 levels of mayhem to throw yourself into. Typical of any Warhammer 40,000 game (save Fire Warrior ), you’ll be playing as a Space Marine of the Ultramarines chapter, and it’ll be your job to strut your stuff against the greenskin horde of the Orks.
“It’s been amazing hearing from Warhammer 40k fans around the world since launch. They all want to play Carnage , which makes it all the more exciting that we’re now available in 5 languages and in 100 countries!” Roadhouse Interactive’s president Tarrnie Williams exclaimed in the press release.
While you’re committing mayhem on the war-hungry Orks, don’t forget to kit yourself out before you swing your thunder hammer into the next greenskin skull, because there are over 500 pieces of Wargear for you to fully customize your Space marine with.
Warhammer 40,000: Carnage is now available via the App Store for €5.99 / £4.99 / $6.99.
