Warhammer 40k: Armageddon Releases in Two weeks

Warhammer 40k: Armageddon Releases in Two weeks

Back in August, it was announced that Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon , a hex-based, turn-based strategy game set within the Warhammer 40,000 universe, had entered Beta on the PC in preparation for its release later on this year. After a few months since, it’s been finally announced that the Warhammer 40,000 spin-off will be releasing in just a couple of weeks, on Wednesday, November 26.

The turn-based game is set during the Second War for Armageddon, a time in Warhammer 40,000’s lore were the planet Armageddon lay besieged (for the second time) by an invading force of Orks. Leading the Imperial Forces of the Armageddon Steel Legion, as well as a variety of other Space Marine Chapters, you have to defend Armageddon from the greenskin invasion over the course of over 30 scenarios.

According to PCGamesN, Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon boasts over 300 units with 20 different statistics across the three factions: Orks, Spaces Marines and Imperial Guard. What’s more is that the experience each unit gains will be carried over to the next mission, meaning that not every match will be started off from a blank slate.

As well as the 30 campaign scenarios, there will also be branching paths, with “ historical ” battles based on Warhammer 40,000 source material. Furthermore, you’ll also be to compete against others in play-by-email multiplayer, which allows for players to take their turns via email.

We’ll bring you more news on Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon should further information reach our ears.
