Remember Sierra, the developer of awesome game show games and point and click adventures? Well they are back! Announced at Gamescom today, the studio, now a part of Activision, will be focusing on bringing back classic titles, as well as reinvigorating a few new ones.
The first title that will launch under Sierra is Geometry Wars 3 Dimensions . A press release describes the game as “an exciting new evolution of the fast-paced, frenetic Geometry Wars gameplay fans love, and will introduce full 3D action and both cooperative and competitive multiplayer for the first time in the franchise.” The game will include a single player campaign with fifty different challenges, and 10 battle modes.
Sierra will also bring us a new version of King’s Quest , a remake of the original by studio The Odd Gentleman. The studio also plans to release new installments of the classic point and click franchise in the future.
