With the Green Lantern movie recently coming out, Sony Online Entertainment is standing by to cash in on the hype with the new DC Universe Online “Fight for the Light” expansion. If you couldn’t tell by the context clues in the previous sentence, the expansion is all about Hal Jordan and the rest of the Green Lantern Corps. The new expansion will allow players and NPCs in the game world to obtain power rings and the “light” powers associated with them. Heroes will get will powers, much like the Green Lantern himself, which amplify a hero’s innate strengths, while villains get yellow fear powers, which will increase their effectiveness against enemies that are weaker than them. Both sets of powers will allow characters to form constructs that reflect their playing style.
