Sony Reveals New Battle Royale Characters

Sony Reveals New Battle Royale Characters

None

Sony’s Smash Brothers clone, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, was demoed on stage at the Sony E3 press conference today. During matches, players build up energy by attacking each other until they have enough energy to unleash a super attack and attempt to rack up kills. There are three levels of super attacks, forcing players to choose between trying to get quick kills with a level one super or to save up for a devastating level three super.

Along with demonstrating gameplay, the Battle Royale segment showed off cross-play between the PlayStation 3 and Vita, with two players using PS3s and two using Vitas. The two devices appeared to interact smoothly during the match.

At the end of the demonstration, two new characters were revealed. Nathan Drake’s appearance in the game was no surprise, but the reveal of Big Daddy and Little Sister appeared to tickle the audience pink.
