One of the most relieving announcements at Sony’s E3 press conference was the reveal that PSOne Classics would soon be making their debut on the company’s latest handheld. As an individual who enjoyed playing Final Fantasy VII on the go, I have found my Vita experience to be pleasant, but somewhat depressing in its lack of mid-nineties blockiness. Luckily, it appears that this may all be rectified by the end of the month. Rumor out of Pixelitis (which cites an anonymous source within Sony) has it that the Vita will begin rolling out the PSone Classics program in “late June,” which fits with the Summer launch window announced at E3.
Will these rumors bear fruit? We’ll have half of the answer by the end of the week, to be sure. By Shelby Reiches |
