We’re six years into the PlayStation 3’s life cycle, and while 2009 already saw Sony release a Slim version of the original hardware, the company may not be done iterating on the formula just yet. Speaking to Eurogamer, Sony Worldwide Studios head Shuhei Yoshida said that speculation about a new super slim PlayStation 3 model coming sometime down the road cannot be completely ruled out. “We haven’t announced anything new on PS3 in terms of hardware revisions. We should never say never—hardware guys are always looking at ways to make things cheaper, smaller.” 
In any event, it appears we’ll just have to leave this report in the rumor mill for the foreseeable future. By Jeff Dunn |
