Spider-Man: Edge of Time Gameplay Trailer Revealed

Spider-Man: Edge of Time Gameplay Trailer Revealed

None

Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions didn’t go over too well with the fans. It advertised four different Spider-men with four different gameplay styles, but in reality we got three beat-em ups and one stealth game. So the development team is trying again with the new Spider-Man: Edge of Time, which reduces the game to two Spider-men and introduces a time travel element to the gameplay. A recently revealed trailer finally shows us some of that gameplay, and it doesn’t look half bad.

The only two Spider-men you will be able to play as are the original Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2099. Classic Spidey seems to play a lot like he did in Shattered Dimensions. He’s beat-em-up centric, with little deviation from there. Future Spidey, on the other hand, has a whole other bag of tricks. He appears to have a cloaking device, which brings back the stealth aspects of Spider-Man Noir’s stages in Shattered Dimensions. He also seems to wander through high-tech environments that seem to have some puzzle elements.

Strangely enough, we saw images of classic Spidey fighting in future environments, and we think we even saw images of future Spidey fighting in the past. The main villain? Anti-Venom, of course.

We will give you more updates on Spider-Man: Edge of Time when we see it this year at E3.
