Spidey and Beenox Unite

Spidey and Beenox Unite

None

In a press release today, Activision announced that it will be handing development of future Spider-Man titles to its subsidiary development studio Beenox. Beenox has already had great success with the web-slinging hero in Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions.

Dee Brown, Studio Head of Beenox, had this to say: “We are thrilled with this opportunity to continue our close, collaborative relationship with Activision, Marvel, and everyone’s friendly, neighborhood hero, Spider-Man. Being able to map out Spider-Man’s interactive future gives us the creative freedom to really craft the best gaming experience for the fans.”

In the past, Beenox Creative Director Thomas Wilson had expressed interest in basing an entire game off either the Noir or 2099 Spider-Man found in Shattered Dimensions. While this project hasn’t been confirmed yet, the further collaboration of Beenox and our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man could very well make it a reality.
