A few weeks after Splatoon ‘s big August update, more free DLC is being added to the game. Tonight at 7pm PT/9pm CT/10pm ET, a new Ranked Battle mode will come to the game. It’s called Rainmaker and essentially adds an escort mission to multiplayer.

There is a Rainmaker on the field in this Splatoon Ranked Mode battle, and both sides want it. The goal is to have one person get and occasionally use it, while the other three team members act as guards as the one holding it heads to the enemy base. If you reach the enemy spawn point successfully, you win.
