Square Enix Reveals Deus Ex GO, Deus Ex Breach

Square Enix Reveals Deus Ex GO, Deus Ex Breach

Square Enix hosted a special livestream today to show off some new gameplay footage for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and reveal a couple of new projects. The gameplay demo was short but sweet, and both the beginning and end of the stream focused on the ” Deus Ex Universe:” Square Enix’s initiative to blend the real world with the world of Deus Ex in fun ways for fans of the series. The highlights of the stream were two new projects that were shown off for the very first time: a brand new game, and a new game mode in Mankind Divided.

The new game is Deus Ex GO from Square Enix Montreal, the same crew who brought you the award-winning Hitman GO and Lara Croft GO games. Deus Ex GO will be very similar but the team promises to take the GO formula to a whole new level as players guide Adam Jensen and use hacking, combat, and augmentations to solve the most challenging puzzles in the series. A never-before-seen puzzle editor will also be available to players shortly after release.

Square Enix also revealed a new game mode in Mankind Divided called Breach. This will be a live (online) mode where players can compete against one another for high scores as they complete various missions in an arcade-style distillation of everything that makes the Deus Ex games unique. “As a Ripper, your objective is to obtain and sell highly classified corporate data by infiltrating some of the world’s most secure servers, using the funds you acquire to upgrade both your skills and arsenal.” It looks like a really interesting twist on some familiar concepts, and you can check out the reveal trailer for yourself right here:
