Those of you who were looking forward to grinding your way down the world’s mountain ranges are going to have to wait a couple of extra weeks, because yesterday, EA announced that SSX would be delayed until late February. In a letter posted on EA’s website, Todd Batty, creative director for SSX, broke the news to disappointed fans. “I wanted to let you all know firsthand that we recently decided to take a couple of extra weeks to give our game the final bit of polish we think it deserves,” Batty said. “This means that we won’t be shipping the game to you until Feb. 28 in North America and Mar. 2 in the rest of the world. We hope that given how long you have waited for SSX to come back, you won’t mind waiting just a little bit longer.” Aside from the Wii-only SSX Blur, fans have been waiting since 2005 for a new title in the franchise. So, like Batty said, they can probably wait another couple of weeks.
I must admit, I’m looking forward to EA’s rebooted SSX franchise, and I’m happy to wait until it’s finished. I don’t like eating half-baked brownies, either. By Josh Engen |
