As reported by DigitalSpy on Thursday, July 10, the president of Sony Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida has revealed that a standalone white version of the company’s PlayStation 4 will be available to all before the end of this year.
In an interview with French website GameOne, Yoshida confirmed that the white PlayStation 4 would only be sold separately in Europe. He didn’t mention if the white variant of the console would be available in any other regions during the interview.
A price tag for the standalone variant has also yet to be confirmed.
The white version of the console was originally unveiled as being bundled with Bungie’s upcoming shooter Destiny . The bundle itself is slated to release alongside the game in North America.
According to DigitalSpy, the white PlayStation 4- Destiny bundle will ship with 500Gb of storage, a white DualShock 4 controller, a copy of the Destiny and a 30-day PlayStation Plus subscription.
When it was first announced, we established that Sony said it was “ considering numerous possibilities ” regarding different color variations of the PlayStation 4.
