State of Decay Breakdown DLC Drops on November 29

This past Friday, Undead Labs announced via their blog t hat their popular State of Decay video game would be receiving its first major DLC expansion later this month. State of Decay: Breakdown is expected to retail for $6.99 and will be available on both XBLA and Steam on Friday, November 29.

Undead Labs Community Manager Sanya Weathers describes this DLC as being the direct result of all the fan feedback that they have received since the game’s launch back in June. Breakdown will focus less on story and more on long-term survival among players. The difficulty level will also be upgraded and new achievements, survivors, and weapons will all be available right from the very start.

State of Decay was one of this summer’s hottest games on XBLA. While Undead Labs has remained quiet on the possibility of bringing the series over to the Xbox One, most analysts know and expect this to happen sooner rather than later. Up to this point, Microsoft has confirmed that Titanfall , Kinect Sports Rivals, and several other third party titles will be hitting their next-gen console in 2014.

State of Decay is available now on both XBLA and Steam for only $19.99.
