Steam to Work Better with DualShock 4s

Steam to Work Better with DualShock 4s

When you think about using a gamepad with your PC, what’s your go-to controller? Me, I like the Xbox One controller. I love how well it works and that I often never have to do anything. I can essentially plug-and-play. But, thanks to news from the Steam Dev Days, the PlayStation 4’s DualShock 4 might be just as viable an option. An update’s coming that’ll make it work better with the distributor’s games.

After the Steam DualShock 4 update is released, it’ll allow people to customize it in the Steam Controller configurations. The Steam API will let you customize it in the exact same way you do a Steam Controller, with the touchpad acting as the mouse portion and gyroscopic controls taken into account. It’ll be the first controller to have support added to Steam configurations, with more to follow.

This is a great idea, especially since you can grab other people’s Steam Controller configurations to save yourself some time. I have a feeling those DualShock 4 wireless USB adapters will become quite popular after this update releases.
