One of those “so Japanese” games might be localized. In Japan, Bandai Namco made a PlayStation VR game called Summer Lesson . In it, you spend a week socializing with a high schooler named Hikari. There’s various DLC that lets you change her costumes, and it’s probably the closest thing you can get to a PS VR dating sim right now. And, based on a European trademark, it’s looking like the PlayStation 4 game could be released outside of Japan.
Which isn’t too surprising. Despite Summer Lesson’ s weird premise, there’s actually been some progress regarding an English release. An English version with Japanese voice acting is coming out in Asia this year. And, cake-eating and maid outfit DLC aside, it isn’t as skeevy as it could be.
We’ll probably hear whether or not Summer Lesson makes it outside of Japan in the next few months. Given this leak, it doesn’t sound that unlikely. But then, there have been The Idolmaster trademarks filed that led to absolutely nothing. We’ll have to wait and see how things go.
