System Shock Remastered Kickstarter Meets Its Goal

System Shock Remastered Kickstarter Meets Its Goal

Something you may or may not have known you wanted is going to happen. Do you know System Shock ? Did you play the game years ago? Would you be excited to play it again? Because you will. The System Shock Remastered Kickstarter has passed its $900,000 goal. With 17 days left, it’s passed $940,000.

Here’s the skinny. Nightdive Studios wants to make a remaster of System Shock that’s bigger and better than the classic you remember. It needed $900,000 by July 28 to make that happen. Thanks to over 15,000 people, that happened. The game will be completely rebuilt in Unity and hopefully released in December 2017.

This is one of the few Kickstarters where I think we can be assured it’ll happen, maybe even on time. Why? There’s already a System Shock Remastered alpha. The demo is available on Steam , GOG , and Humble . I think that’s part of why it was funded so quickly. We have something good we can look forward to, knowing the developer is committed. Also, it’s a great game.
