This weekend, at The Game Awards, The Banner Saga 2 , the sequel to this year’s unexpected breakout turn based strategy hit, was announced. The game combined Oregon trail style resource management with grid based strategy combat. It also had an incredibly touching story based on Norse mythology that saw a lot of important characters dying.
Gamespot has recently posted some exclusive screenshots of the new game, and it looks like we will have a lot to look forward to. In addition to the humans and Varl, it looks like Centaurs may also join your party. Unfortunately, we have no clue how they operate in battle or what abilities they might have. It also appears as if you will be traveling by boat in this one as well. Stay tuned for more information on The Banner Saga 2 as it becomes available.
