The Division’s Set Solely in Manhattan

The Division’s Set Solely in Manhattan

People may feel a little disappointed in Tom Clancy’s The Division once it launches. It isn’t going to be as varied as you’d expect. While the E3 2013 footage was all about Brooklyn, the official release is a Manhattanite. Massive Entertainment’s Magnus Jansen told The Examiner that the game is a 1 to 1 recreation of Midtown Manhattan.

This shift is due to the nature of the game. The Division is about a pandemic, after all. You need to go through Manhattan on foot, making exploration of other areas unrealistic. As a result, Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, and Staten Island couldn’t make it in. Still, Manhattan is an open-world area for people to enjoy when the game comes to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC on March 8.
