These days, it’s a surprise to find a game that doesn’t have optional microtransactions in it. Still, try to act surprised for this story, okay? The Netherlands’ PlayStation Store has updated the product listing for Tom Clancy’s The Division . It now says the game will include optional microtransactions.
The exact nature of the purchases has yet to be revealed. It could be as simple as additional character or equipment skins. Other digital content will definitely arrive, since people who pre-order are already guaranteed a Hazmat Gear Set.
The Division will be released on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC on March 8. We’ll hopefully know more about its optional purchases by then.
