The First Xbox One Has Officially Been Sold

The First Xbox One Has Officially Been Sold

Well everyone, the first Xbox One in the world has officially been sold. The unit went to Dan Livingstone of New Zealand, who purchased the console after it had been kept in a glass box, underwater, and guarded by sharks . Well… good thing he was at the front of the line then.

Then again, “first Xbox One” is kind of a misnomer. After all, review outlets have had their Xbox Ones for awhile now. Mom and Pop outlets that aren’t afraid of breaking street date have sold Xbox Ones to plenty of people. Several other consoles were leaked by other means, so much so that Microsoft had to mention that early consoles would not be able to access Xbox Live. So perhaps you could say that this is the first, legit, retail console sold… although the definition of legit and retail seems to get fuzzy when you remember that this console was taken out of a shark tank inside a New Zealand Aquarium.
