The Last of Us Getting “Online Component”

The Last of Us Getting “Online Component”

None

In the latest issue of Game Informer, Bruce Straley of Naughty Dog revealed that their post-apocalyptic survival horror/action game, The Last of Us, will have “some sort of online component.”

As of now, there are no details on what this component is going to be, and it appears as if Naughty Dog probably doesn’t even know yet. “We’re working on a bunch of ideas, but we haven’t nailed anything down. We definitely know it’s going to be awesome,” Straley added.

Looking closely at the details revealed about the game so far, we can conclude that the story is about a world that is plagued by a viral fungus that turns people into some sort of zombie. Therefore, it’s possible that the online mode will be a Left 4 Dead-style humans-vs.-zombies scenario. Then again, since the game focuses primarily on post-apocalyptic survival, it would also be cool if it had some sort of Demon’s Souls-type function to allow players to find notes left by other survivors.
