Crystal Dynamics has confirmed that, following their forthcoming Tomb Raider reboot, more installments are planned for the franchise. “I have to be careful because I know exactly where she’s going,” said Crystal Dynamics’ global brand director Karl Stewart to VideoGamer. “You have to look at the future, you have to look at where… It’s not just one game. At the end of this game we want her to be that strong female character that is willing to go and seek out mysteries and seek out tombs. 
When pushed for more details on future installments, Stewart stated, “I don’t want to say anymore on it because I’ll have the game director of the next game going ‘what the f*** are you saying!?'” Tomb Raider is currently scheduled for a release on March 5th, 2013. Crystal Dynamics is also working on a next-gen IP, inevitably hinting that the Tomb Raider IP will see a continuation on the PS4 and Xbox 720. By Zak Islam |
