Earlier today, Kalypso Media confirmed in a press release that Tropico 5 is scheduled to launch on the PC on May 23 rd . To celebrate this announcement, Kalypso also launched a brand new website for the game at www.tropico5.com . Both the Mac and Xbox 360 version of the game will release this summer, while the PS4 version won’t be out until the fall.
Tropico 5 is known simply as a construction and management simulation video game made with an emphasis on city building. Unlike earlier entries in the series, this sequel will feature both cooperative and competitive multiplayer for up to 4 players. In addition to building cities on the same island, players will now have the ability to either work with or against each other.
Fans of Sim City will most likely be interested in checking out this title. The decision to add multiplayer to the game could essentially change the landscape of the franchise forever and give the players a lot to look forward to in the future. While an Xbox One version of the game hasn’t officially been confirmed yet, I expect that to happen any day now.
Are any of you planning to try out Tropico 5 ? Please feel free to let us know in the comments section below.
