Twitch Launches New Creative Section for Artists

Twitch Launches New Creative Section for Artists

Twitch is typically a service that allows gamers to stream live footage of them playing video games while they interact with viewers via chat. Over the last year, more and more creative minds have started using the platform for non-gaming related streams. Noting the demand, Twitch has now launched a new section for their site where creators can make art in front of an audience.

Entitled Creative, this section of Twitch is reminiscent of the Music section which was also created to meet a demand for non-gaming streams on the platform. Currently, users are primarily using the service to showcase art through drawing, photoshop and animation. There is also a Joy of Painting channel up to commemorate both the first day of the creative platform and Bob Ross’ Birthday. Understandably, this channel is already very popular among the quirky, gimmick-loving audience at Twitch.

Creators can head over to Twitch now to start broadcasting. Viewers can check out the list of live channels here . Twitch has also enabled the use of hashtags on the service to facilitate ease of use.
