Twitch Trolls Itself With Pokemon and Tetris

Twitch Trolls Itself With Pokemon and Tetris

If you haven’t been keeping up with Twitch Plays Pokemon , then you have been missing out on one hell of a party. The stream is a peculiar little experiment that allows everyone on it to bark out commands to a Pokemon emulator. Nearly 50,000 viewers have to coordinate their moves in order to make slow and grueling progress through one of Nintendo’s greatest hits, Pokemon Red.

But as you would expect, not everyone is going to work together. There will always be trolls, constantly trying to press the start button and make you throw away your Pokemon. In fact, there is a whole channel full of trolls! That channel is called Twitch Plays Pokemon Plays Tetris. It uses the same inputs from the Pokemon stream, but controls Tetris pieces in a hacked version of the NES classic. Unlike normal Tetris, this stream’s Tetris pieces can actually go up. The only way pieces even hit the bottom of the screen is if everyone agrees to keep hitting down inputs. This, of course, tends to spoil the Pokemon game’s progress somewhat.

Both streams are hilarious to watch and will definitely kill a few hours of your time.
