Far Cry 3 was one of the best games released in 2012, and Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon saw a very successful launch this month. Based off this success, Ubisoft feels that the franchise can become one of the best-selling IPs on next-generation consoles.
Considering that the game sold 6 million units last November with little in terms of costumer anticipation, they have every reason to believe this.
In total, eight Far Cry games have been released, including four console spinoffs of the original PC exclusive. It’s probably safe to say that we’ll see a Far Cry 4 for next-generation consoles.
