Ugly Americans: Apocalypsegeddon Dated

Ugly Americans: Apocalypsegeddon Dated

None

Honestly, it seems a little odd that Ugly Americans, the dry comedy-horror on Comedy Central, is getting video game adaptation. It’s not nearly as big as hits like South Park or even Drawn Together. Nonetheless, I am a fan, and so I was excited to find out that we will be able to practice our tolerance of other cultures in a digital space at the end of this month.

Apocalypsegeddon features all the characters you know and love from Ugly Americans, actually voiced by their original voice actors. As far as gameplay goes, this is a twin-stick shooter that is played from an isometric viewpoint, as strange as that may sound. It features four player co-op, and will allow players to take on the roles of any of the main characters from the show. The game also has a story written by the show’s writer Devin Clark, and will include all-new characters made specifically for the video game.

The game is set to come out August 30th for the PSN and August 31st for the Xbox Live Arcade, retailing for $9.99 or 800 Microsoft points.

I can only hope this game succeeds so that more seasons of Ugly Americans will get greenlit.
