Ultima Creator Selling His Blood to Promote New Game

Ultima Creator Selling His Blood to Promote New Game

Do you know what a reliquary is? Although I’ve seen a few in my lifetime, I wasn’t familiar with the term. A reliquary is a shrine or container that houses some kind of relic, or the remains of a saint. Ultima creator Richard Garriott may not be a saint, but he is a “Lord,” and if you’re interested, you can buy a reliquary containing his blood on eBay. Why would you want to do this? I have no idea, maybe if you’re a huge Ultima fan it would mean something special to you, but it would likely mean much more to Lord British himself.

These “Lord British Blood Reliquaries” are going for a whopping $5,000. Garriott is selling his blood in order to promote and fund his new game, Shroud of the Avatar . Buyers will not only get a very artistic, very expensive blood sample, but will also receive a large trove of digital items to use in the new game. Those buyers willing to pay for their own airfare can even fly out to Austin, TX to hang out with Garriott and his team. If you’re weirdly into this, then you can find the eBay listing here , and check out the video below to watch Garriott getting his precious $5,000 blood drawn.
