In a recent interview on MTV, actor Mark Wahlberg all but confirmed his role as Nathan Drake in the upcoming Uncharted movie. The actor, who also had the starring role in video game adaptation Max Payne, will be working alongside director David O. Russell and plans to begin shooting next summer. While Wahlberg doesn’t specifically say he will be playing Nathan Drake, it seems highly likely, as he stated that Russell wanted to cast Joe Pesci as his uncle and Robert De Niro as his father.  While some may applaud the choice of Wahlberg as Drake, many fans are disappointed, as there was recently a Twitter campaign by actor Nathan Fillion to procure the role of Drake. Fillion was highly favored for the role of Drake by fans. |
