Valve, the development powerhouse behind blockbuster franchises like Portal, Left 4 Dead, Team Fortress, and Half-Life, announced a new game yesterday: Defense of the Ancients (Dota) 2. Dota 2 will be much like its predecessor and feature real-time strategy gameplay that involves directing minions to attack enemies. Although no release date was set, some early features were revealed, including support for three-layer maps and an online “coaching” mode where veteran players can help newer players as they progress through the game. |
