Neil Gaiman is a prolific writer whose work has appeared in television, comics, novels and more. It shouldn’t be too surprising that The Sandman writer would announce his next writing venture, video games, last year. Now, his game Wayward Manor has a fastly approaching release date of July 15, 2014.
Wayward Manor has suffered it’s share of delays, so it seemed like the perfect opportunity discuss the delays announce the release date and praise developers The Odd Gentleman, whose previous works include The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom , on the game’s official blog. “The immensely talented developers, The Odd Gentlemen, have spent countless hours crafting each level with care and precision. Although it was a difficult decision to delay the release of the game, we did it with the knowledge that we were creating an even more immersive, enjoyable experience for amazing fans like yourself. Because, hey, you deserve the best, as your enthusiasm for Neil’s first game has only been outdone by your patience. Now, it’s time to reward your forbearance and open the doors for haunting.”

Unfortunately, the new homeowners have some items that stifle the ghost’s terrifying power. In order to gain back the ghost’s scary abilities, players will have to solve puzzles and explore the mansion.
