Wal-Mart Selling Used Games

Wal-Mart Selling Used Games

None

Corporate giant chain Wal-Mart has apparently noticed the booming market for used games sales, as they have recently decided to begin selling used games in 500 of their stores.

Wal-Mart revealed this plan earlier this year, stating that they would “focus on the deep-value end of the market.” This essentially means that their focus will be on much older titles, so there is little direct competition with current used games powerhouse GameStop.

Lazard Capital Markets’ Colin Sebastian, who revealed Wal-Mart’s new trend in a recent report, believes that if the program is successful, it could “ultimately expand the market for used games.”
