OK, I’ll admit it. I absolutely loved Wreck-It Ralph. Granted, it was primarily because the entire movie was just a reference fest that made 10 year old gamer me go “OOOOH THAT’S Q*BERT! OOOOOH THAT’S SONIC! OOOOH THAT’S ZANGIEF!” and so on. But hey, even a grown man can enjoy an animated Disney flick now and again.
That’s why I’m super excited to hear that Wreck-It Ralph 2 is in the works. The news comes from an Irish radio show, RTE Arena, that had John C. Reilly, the voice of Ralph, on as a guest. Reilly said he already “signed on” for Wreck-It Ralph 2, thus confirming its existence.
Bear in mind, however, that the movie has not officially been greenlit. Take this with a grain of salt for now, a very high profile leak if you will. But, if it does end up being true, we can be sure to be sitting in theaters soon, watching all of our favorite video game icons animated by Disney once more.
