Xbox Live Marketplace Experiencing Outages

Xbox Live Marketplace Experiencing Outages

None

Now that we’re getting pretty tired of talking about the PSN outage, let’s move to greener pastures—the Xbox Live outage. But don’t get too worked up, this one isn’t a full-scale hack attack.

As of this morning, the Xbox Live Marketplace has been unavailable for many users, both on the PC and on the Xbox 360. Other features of Xbox Live are still working, and you can still redeem codes, play with friends, and use voice and video chat features. It certainly doesn’t seem like this is a full-scale outage like we’ve seen with PSN. What this could be, though, is just some unplanned maintenance.

There are plenty of reasons for Microsoft to work on the Xbox Live Marketplace, especially if they need some specific architecture in place for a big E3 reveal involving the service. Thus far, Microsoft has been mum on the outage, but we’ll let you know if we hear anything from them regarding the Xbox Live Marketplace.
