With XCOM 2 only a few months away, due to its November release, Firaxis is taking the opportunity to show, rather than tell, what it will be like to play the game. Fighting an alien force is hard, and someone needs a strong hub to prepare between battles. In the latest trailer, we see a repurposed LE transport ship that acts as the mobile base for all players.
The Avenger trailer above shows how much the XCOM 2 mobile base can do. We can see all rooms at once, and talk to staff about research possibilities, manage resources, improve equipment, and get soldiers set up. Think of it as a mobile, military castle.
XCOM 2 will be on PCs first. It doesn’t have an exact release date or price beyond November 2015. Hopefully we’ll learn more soon.
