Zelda Gets Gold Controller Bundle

Zelda Gets Gold Controller Bundle

None

Zelda’s favorite color is gold, apparently. Even as far back to the NES and SNES, Zelda games were coming out on gold colored cartridges. Well, the tradition of the shiny golden game is continuing with Skyward Sword, what could possibly be Nintendo’s last big Wii release.

First of all, the game’s cover art is nearly completely gold. Second of all, the disc itself is golden on the front side. Third of all, the first run of copies of Skyward Sword will include another golden disc, a CD filled with orchestral renditions of popular Zelda themes from throughout its 25 year history. Finally, Nintendo is producing a new golden Zelda bundle for $70 (instead of the game’s usual $50 dollar price tag). The bundle will include the game, the soundtrack CD (no matter what run of production the game is in) and a golden Wiimote Plus. This will be the only way gamers will be able to get their hands on a golden Wiimote.

Both the game and the new bundle pack will be available in stores November 20th. We will bring you more information on the Skyward Sword release when it becomes available.
