Zombi U DLC And GTA V Possibly Heading To The Wii U

Going into the Wii U’s big reveal at E3, Reggie Fils-Aime stated that the console was designed as a love letter to the hardcore gamers who had, perhaps, felt left in the cold by Nintendo’s more casual-friendly, motion-controlled follow-up to the Gamecube. In the end, the new console’s launch linteup has included a slew of Mature rated titles like  Mass Effect 3, Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Darksiders II  and ZombiU.

That last one may also be engaging in a practice that is fairly new to Nintendo: post-release DLC. Though there are no specific plans for it, Ubisoft’s Bogdan Bridinel has stated that elements of ZombiU ended up on the cutting room floor due to the game’s schedule and that, if the game is successful, DLC “could become a possibility.”

Even more enticing is the fact that Rockstar has not ruled out a release of Grand Theft Auto V on the console. Though, regarding both the Wii U and PC as potential platforms, all Dan Houser would say was that they were “up for consideration.” The fact that they have not been ruled out provides hope, especially since this would mark the first ever release of a Grand Theft Auto game on a Nintendo console.
