This week, a few observant gamers noticed that the games list in EA’s Origin client has grown to include several titles that they may have purchased via Steam. Reports are surfacing that games like Dead Space 2 and Mass Effect are showing up in Origin even though EA’s service had nothing to do with their delivery. Now, before you go accusing EA of black magic, you should know that feats like this aren’t exactly impressive. Clients like Steam and Origin are notorious for scanning the user’s hard drive for familiar file names and utilizing the associated programs.
