A while back, EA announced that it would be getting into the digital distribution market with their new platform Origin. Replacing the EA store, Origin would be a hub that not only lets you purchase and download games, but also lets you organize your game collection and install it on different PCs, much like Steam. While many originally thought that Origin wouldn’t be able to stand up to Steam and other digital distribution clients, it has actually been doing quite well. Eric Brown, CFO for Electronic Arts, recently said that the Origin client has been downloaded by 3.9 million users.
