The title of this story is pretty self-explanatory. Steam had a huge boost last month, with over 10 million new users in the past three months. This brings Steam up to over 75 million users! Many think that this may be due to the recent unveiling of the Steam Machine and SteamOS , which will bring Steam to the living rooms of users without the need for a serious gaming PC.
In addition to these numbers, Valve has unveiled their sales by region as well. Most of Steam’s sales come from North America and Europe, with quick growth coming from Russia. Then again, Russia only accounts for 5% of Steam sales while North America and Western Europe account for over 80%.
