2 Million People Played Resident Evil VII’s Demo

2 Million People Played Resident Evil VII’s Demo

Resident Evil VII has hit quite a hallmark. Capcom decided to go over some numbers concerning the Beginning Hour demo, and they’re good. The demo was released on June 13, following its appearance and announcement at Sony’s E3 press conference. In the three weeks since, it’s been downloaded over two million times. Pretty impressive for a PlayStation Plus exclusive!

It actually gets better. While Capcom didn’t offer exact figures, it says it received more downloads its first week than any other PlayStation 4 single-player demo ever. Which might not be that impressive? I can’t think of any PS4-exclusive, single-player demos aside from it and P.T. Silent Hills . Still, I guess so many downloads is good news regardless!

Personally, I think there have been more impressive PlayStation 4 demos. I really enjoyed both Final Fantasy XV’ s Episode Duscae and Platinum demos and thought they were very indicative of the final product. P.T. was amazing too. Even Grand Kingdom’ s is pretty nice, considering how much it lets you do. But the Resident Evil VII demo is pretty fun. If you have PlayStation Plus, you should probably go grab it.
