2016 Game Awards Fan Creation Category Slimmed Down

2016 Game Awards Fan Creation Category Slimmed Down

One of The Game Awards 2016 categories is a lot smaller. Which means it’s suddenly going to be a lot easier to guess at a winner. Here’s the deal. One of the award show’s categories is Best Fan Creation. When the nominees were announced last week , there were four games in that category. Brutal DOOM 64, Enderal: The Shards of Order, Pokemon Uranium, and Project A2MR were all contenders. Now, the two Nintendo fan-games are gone.

Pokemon Uranium and Project A2MR were both removed from The Game Awards 2016 without any explanation. They were suddenly gone. They’re also two games that are actually gone from the internet, due to Nintendo filing cease and desists on each game. One was directly based on and very similar to Pokemon and the other was a remake of Metroid 2 .

I think this is a lock for Enderal: The Shards of Order . In case you haven’t heard of it, it’s a Skyrim total conversion mod with an original story. It has full voice acting. There are new dungeons, enemies, and quests. It does so much and deserves some more attention.
