2016 Xbox Spring Sale Kicks Off

2016 Xbox Spring Sale Kicks Off

It’s spring, which means companies are dropping the prices of their systems and games in the hopes of getting people to buy them for Easter. Microsoft’s just launched its Xbox Spring Sale, which means consoles and games are reduced. That applies to digital downloads too, so everyone can get something for less than usual.

The big news is the Xbox Spring Sale’s general console price drop. Xbox One systems purchased through Microsoft, Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, and Target will be $50 off. That means the system starts at $299 now. There’s even one deal that lets you also get a copy of Assassin’s Creed Unity, The Crew, or Watch_Dogs with your system between March 21-27.

The game portion of the Xbox Spring Sale has two set periods. Physical copies are on sale through Microsoft until March 27. Select games, like Rare Replay, Halo 5, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Forza Motorsport 6, and Gears of War Ultimate Edition are 75% off. NBA 2K16 is also $20 off. As for digital games, select titles will be be 40-60% off until March 28. Some Windows PC games will be reduced as well.

It might be wise to wait until March 22 before making any purchasing decisions. See what games will be reduced. Then, use that information to make an educated decision as to whether you need an Xbox One now and which titles to buy.
