Activision Gives Away MW3 To Con-Goers

Activision Gives Away MW3 To Con-Goers

None

Call of Duty has its own convention now, called Call of Duty: XP. Passes cost $150 each. Ouch.

Attractions at the convention include access to an “entertainment extravaganza,” a paintball match that takes place in a real-world recreation of Modern Warfare 2’s Scrapyard map. There’s also a one million dollar Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 tournament.

However, most importantly is that almost half of that badge money doesn’t go towards entry to the convention; it scores you a brand new copy of Modern Warfare 3. According to Activision, all attendees to Call of Duty: XP will receive a voucher that contains a redemption code for Modern Warfare 3: Hardened edition. So simply going to the convention will get you a brand new game.

All proceeds for CoD:XP are going to the Call of Duty Endowment, which helps war veterans find jobs. So you can be sure your 150 dollars is going towards good causes: charity and new video games.
