Amazon Prime Now Offers Monthly Subscriptions

Amazon Prime Now Offers Monthly Subscriptions

I’ve been an Amazon Prime member since its inauguration, and it just keeps getting better. For $100 a year you get so much: free two-day shipping, unlimited movie, TV, and music streaming, tons of free ebooks, early access to lightning deals and Black Friday offers, and free same-day delivery on many items. If you’re a gamer it gets even sweeter; you get 20% off of all new games for up to two weeks after they release, and if you pre-order with Prime you get free release day delivery. How sweet is that?

What’s that? You don’t want to pony up $100 for a full year of Prime? Well I’ve got great news for you: Amazon has just announced a new monthly Prime subscription that will only set you back $11 a month. That $11 gets you all of the same Amazon Prime member benefits, and you can cancel at any time. If a crazy month rolls around with two or more games that you just have to play (May is one of those months for me), you can pay 11 bucks for Prime, save about $25 on a few games, and get them delivered to your door on release day for free. It doesn’t get much better than that. I should also mention that if you only want to stream movies and TV, you can also opt for a $9-a-month Amazon Prime Instant Video subscription. I have a feeling the latter option will become much more popular as Netflix is set to increase its subscription prices very soon.
