According to a recent Nintendo press event, Animal Crossing 3DS finally has a hard release date. The game will be coming out on November 8 th in Japan. Unfortunately, its international release date isn’t known for certain, but it should be coming out sometime early next year.
Animal Crossing 3DS (also known as Animal Crossing: Jump Out) changes the Animal Crossing formula a bit. Players will be started in a tent, and will be tasked with upgrading the tent to fit their desires as the game goes on. Nearly everything in the world will be customizable, from your character’s appearance to the interior design of their home. Even lamp posts and benches, which were previously only found in the GameCube version of Animal Crossing, will be found in Animal Crossing: Jump Out.
In addition, the perspective of Animal Crossing: Jump Out has been changed at well. The whole game is played lower to the ground, allowing features in the landscape to head toward the camera as you walk. This will give the entire world a sense of depth with the 3DS’s stereoscopic graphic capabilities.
