Anime Expo Reveals New Skullgirls Character Concepts

Anime Expo Reveals New Skullgirls Character Concepts

The Skullgirls team over at Lab Zero games had a panel at this year’s Anime Expo to talk about the future of Skullgirls , the indie fighting game that made a splash on indiegogo. Not only did they show off a full demo of Eliza, which is now playable on the PC beta, and talk about some of the problems with designing Squiggly and Big Band, but they also showed us some upcoming concepts for the final two characters, Beowulf and Robo-Fortune.

Beowulf will be based on many pro-wrestlers of the past. However, the team has said that they don’t particularly want to make him a carbon copy of every other wrestler. Instead of just giving him suplexes and power bombs, the team wants to spice it up with signature moves like Da Gringo Killa. If you haven’t seen this move, Youtube it!

Robo-Fortune on the other hand is still very early. She has a model, a brand new robotic sprite that looks very different from Fortune herself. Unfortunately, no moves are ready for her just yet. We will get to see the development process of both of these characters once Eliza is done, which is looking to be shortly after EVO this year.
