Players may recall the Xbox Live Rewards Program that Microsoft launched late last year. Those who have signed up for it receive Microsoft point rewards for various activities, such as signing up for Xbox Live Gold for the first time or renewing their membership. There are, occasionally, surveys that members may take to gain 20 points a month. Today, however, some users have reported that their expected gains have been as much as sextupled, with multiple credits of the expected Reward Points appearing at once in their accounts. Is it a glitch? Is it a gesture of goodwill by Microsoft? Did someone get overzealous with the “enter” key? More importantly, if it is a mistake, what will happen to accounts that spend those points before Microsoft corrects the issue?
